Some fun news to share…

First, it’s that time of the year! The BEST OF lists are starting to come out. Check out these lists of nonfiction titles.

School Library Journal has posted several Best Of lists, I am excited to see the titles on their Nonfiction list. You can find the list of titles here.

Kirkus , also, has released their Best Informational Picture Books 2019 list, click here to see the titles they selected.

Next up…Where are you spending the weekend? I am leaving super early on Thursday for Baltimore to attend NCTE ‘19. Here are some of the sessions I will be attending….

So, excited to attend the Nonfiction Children’s Book Salon on Saturday morning.

The Children’s Book Award Luncheon has been one of my favorite events to attend. In the past few years, they have announced the winners of the NCTE Children’s Book Awards including the Orbis Pictus Award for Best Nonfiction for Children.

And if you aren’t doing anything on Saturday afternoon, I hope I can persuade you to come join in on some nonfiction fun.

Sadly, Michele Knott and I haven’t been able to present together at NCTE, but I have definitely marked my calendar to attend the session she and Lesley Burnap are doing with some amazing authors on Sunday morning.

I am still making decisions about other sessions but I know that it is going to be a wonderful weekend of learning and connecting with friends.
