And, this is the only kids' almanac with mobile media features that allow kids to access National Geographic videos, photo galleries, and games.
Thoughts about this book:
Bright, colorful, and filled with a ton of facts the National Geographic Kids Almanac 2016 will be a definite hit with kids. Fact books are always super popular, and National Geographic does it so well.
The newest almanac is divided into ten sections including nature, science, animals, culture, history, geography and more. Each chapter has 16 facts along with a quiz, jokes, and pages filled with a variety of interesting pieces of information as shown in the interior images here. Children can begin reading in any section or any page that catches their eye. Additionally, books like this almanac are guaranteed to also invite discussion as children share what they are learning with their peers. The ooohs, and aaahs, and the "take a look at this" will soon have groups of children clamoring to spend time with this book.
Teachers, I would invest in the hardcover version if you will be using this in the classroom. Considering the amount of love this book will get, the hardcover version will hold up better than the paperback version.
Though this is the book trailer for the 2015 Almanac, it does give you a taste for the style and format of the almanac.
