Of course, I would have loved to see some more nonfiction picture books on this list, but given that two different Award Committees selected nearly all of the same books, these need to go on my list of books to read.
If you have a nonfiction picture book or nonfiction book post that you would like to link up, please include them below.

So Infinity and Me is part story, part nonfiction about math and philosophy...
ReplyDeleteI was excited to see Bomb win so many awards, and I put holds at the library for some of the books I have missed on the list :)
Infinity and Me was nominated for a Notable. I had a chance to look at it on Monday. How funny that you should mention it. I thought it was really cool.
DeleteAnd I have a signed copy of Bomb from ALA annual and haven't read it. Moving it to the top of my list.
I hope the National Geographic Book of Animal Poetry is okay for this post. I've got some reading to complete and start with these other winners.
ReplyDeleteI loved that book...and yes, link up to i.
DeleteMy books this week are not recent. But on a relevant topic for the day after a snowshoeing field trip: snow!
ReplyDeleteThanks for including all of these award winners Alyson. Very interesting!
I find the overlap of the two lists fascinating. Definitely have books to read.
DeleteThere were some great nonfiction books recognized. Can't wait to add them to my nonfiction challenge! I've already started Bomb. I can see why it won so many awards.
ReplyDeleteI had started Sheinkin's new book but am going to go back to BOMB first.
